We are a conservative synagogue, and are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Temple Israel prides itself on the equal participation of men and women remembrances of the recently departe congregational leadership, and all other activities.  Everyone is encouraged to participate according to his or her ability. It is impossible to attend our services and not enjoy the warmth of our Temple family and sincerity of our worship. Our membership is drawn from Eastern Long Island, from Rocky Point and Coram to the west, to the North and South Forks to the east.  Our congregation is 100 years old, and our current building was built in 1945. The Sanctuary comfortably seats 140 people, and has been newly renovated. We celebrated our 100th anniversary in 2011. Please make an effort to join us.
